Valentine’s Day plans are set with Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho’s 17th annual A Glam Sweethearts Ball, an elegant evening combining romance, entertainment and meaningful impact.
The semi-formal event will take place Friday, February 14, at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn, benefiting Habitat’s affordable housing and home repair programs in Kootenai County.
“We’ve designed the Sweethearts Ball to take the stress out of Valentine’s Day planning,” said Rebekah Paragamian, volunteer and event coordinator. “It’s truly an all-in-one evening — dinner, drinks, sweet treats, flowers, dancing and gift-worthy auctions — all wrapped into one memorable night while supporting a cause that strengthens our community.”
The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by a surf-and-turf buffet, live auction, raffles and games. Roses and sweet treats will be available for purchase, and DJ Tripp Rogers will provide music for dancing.
Auction offerings include vacation getaways to places like Maui and the Oregon Coast, hotel and dining packages, designer handbags, artwork, jewelry, baseball collectibles, fishing wall art, quilts and more — making it easy for guests to find the perfect Valentine’s gift, or let their sweetheart choose one themselves.
Tickets are $85 per person or $680 for a table of eight. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities remain available for businesses or individuals.
“The Sweethearts Ball has become a Valentine’s tradition for many in our community,” Paragamian said. “We welcome couples, families, friends and even ‘galentines’ groups who make this event part of their annual celebration.”
Proceeds from the event will support Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho’s work at Duffield Place, a 21-home affordable housing development currently under construction in Coeur d’Alene.
“The need for affordable housing in Kootenai County has never been greater,” said James Casper, executive director. “Nearly four out of five residents can no longer afford a median-priced home, placing homeownership out of reach for many working families.”
Duffield Place is being built in phases. Five families moved into completed townhomes in 2025, with additional buildings currently under construction. Four more families are expected to move into new homes this spring.
“Every home we build represents stability, dignity and hope,” Casper said. “Everyone who attends the Sweethearts Ball becomes part of that story.”
